Do you have a teen out of control?…with anger issues?…skipping class?… drinking alcohol?…smoking pot?…fighting or defiant behavior?…possessing cigarettes?…theft/shoplifting?…vandalism?… or encounters with the law? It can happen in any family, regardless of race, ethnicity or income level. A passing thing or is this a sign of a serious problem with a teenage son or daughter? There is help. The Bridges Early Intervention Program provides an adolescent with behavioral development curriculum specific to the problem. Bridges offers an array of classes for teens with certain violations or behaviors that law enforcement, probation or juvenile court have noticed. Teens arrested or cited for crimes may have the opportunity to participate in special classes or services to meet their legal obligation. Seriously violent crimes or high-risk behaviors may preclude participation. The classes and services emphasize information, skill development and positive choices to deter teens from further unlawful behavior and/or involvement in the Juvenile Justice System. Classes and services cover a wide range of topics, screening, assessment, and interventions for alcohol or drug use and drug testing. Services are offered to youth between ages 12-17.
