And usually everyone around the person struggling with alcohol and drugs sees it and knows help is needed. There is an affordable and effective treatment option that doesn’t require going to a hospital. Bill's Story My name is Bill and I grew up in a two-parent home. My father was the Sheriff of Ramsey County, St. Paul, Minnesota, and my mom was a stay-at-home mother. You might say a typical American family. However, as a child my father worked all the time and my mom struggled with her own mental health issues…and was abusive to my brother and me. When my parents divorced, I went to live with my mother. Two years later she remarried a man that I didn't get along with. I felt totally abandoned, so I started hanging out with an older crowd of kids in the neighborhood and school. The Bridges Adult Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for adults seeking to make the personal changes necessary to live a clean and sober productive life. The structured recovery services provide the individual with counseling and support components that include case management services, individualized recovery plans, weekly group meetings and education, and aftercare follow-up services. The program offers the recovery knowledge and tools to rebuild a healthy life style. The program is eight weeks and includes an initial diagnostic assessment. Clinical staff includes a licensed mental health clinician, certified drug and alcohol counselors and a consulting psychiatrist. Program includes:

Because we are partially funded through a grant by the Alliance Healthcare Foundation, we can offer a sliding scale to men and women with parenting issues.
