Bridges Early Intervention Program The purpose of the Bridges Early Intervention Program is to provide behavioral development curriculum to support the efforts of law enforcement, probation, and the courts when a youth is arrested for certain violations. Youth who are arrested or cited for crimes that are not seriously violent or are simply engaging in high risk behaviors, are given the opportunity to participate in programming that, if successfully completed, will help the young person keep from further involvement in the justice system. The classes offered in “Bridges” emphasize factual information and skill development to increase the frequency of positive choices made by the youth. Classes cover a range of topics (anger management, alternatives to high risk behavior, drug awareness and tobacco education), screening and assessment services and drug testing. For more information or to make a referral, please call: 858.514.5101
Bridges Recovery Program The Bridges Recovery Program is an Intensive Outpatient Program designed for young people between the ages of 12-17. Youth who have problems with alcohol and other mood altering drugs that have resulted in problems in any of these areas: social, psychological, legal, physical and/or behavioral problems may benefit from the program. The Bridges Recovery Program offers a community based approach that allows the teen to participate in an intensive outpatient setting not associated with a hospital. The Intensive Treatment Program includes six weeks of individual counseling, therapeutic process groups, family sessions, educational classes, relapse avoidance planning, youth development and clean and sober activities. Although the primary focus is alcohol and drug treatment recovery, we attempt to address other concerns that commonly are associated with drug dependency: serious risk taking behaviors, gang involvement, school problems, low self-esteem, handling negative peer influence and anger management. Please call 858.514.5102 for a chemical dependency assessment
