Union Bank Supports Vista Hill
Learning Assistance Center

Union Bank of California Foundation (UBOC) has provided a generous $25,000 grant to support ongoing counseling services to students and families in regions impacted by the recent wildfires.  The UBOC grant will allow LAC to bring much-needed supplemental mental health services to youth and families in the fire-impacted regions, regardless of qualification criteria.  An additional $2,000 grant from United Way of San Diego is providing “wrap-around” support to these families, to help with basic needs such as food, clothing, school supplies, transportation, etc.

The LAC program in Ramona is helping to address several critical needs outlined in the San Diego Foundation Community Needs Assessment, which indicates the need for mental health services for children in the hardest hit areas following the recent disaster.
