Stein Education Center recently held its “Helping Hands” Awards to recognize outstanding staff service in honor of the late Sam and Rose Stein, one of our major benefactors. Awards were presented to Mr. Corey Ferback, Teaching Assistant at our special education campus and Tina Salabye, Site Coordinator at our Adult Services. A Corporate Citizen Award was given to SDG&E for their activity grants supporting Special Care Services. Mr. Randy Schimka accepted the award on behalf of SDG&E and also presented a check from the proceeds of “Belardo Lights”, a holiday season electrical lighting display he creates each year with his son with autism.
